ATP Speedometer cables are designed to fit and function just like the original part to ensure durability and long life.

This cable fit, however, it does NOT include the rubber grommet for the hole in the firewall as it should, so unfortunately I will have to replace with a different one.

Says it has speedo cable lubricant with it in the description but it didn't.Doesn't have the rubber grommet for the firewall. (ATP website shows it does for this part number)

This cable fit perfectly on my 1988 MJ. It doesn't matter if it's 2WD (70") or 4WD(77"), I have an a/t but I dont think it matters as long as you don't have cruise control. The ATP Y924 is 77" long, so it should fit. also if your cable doesn't need a metal clip at the speedometer head your good to go. Ignore the amazon vehicle fitment warning you that it wont fit, it will. This would also fit the XJ in the same years.

Several online sources pointed me toward this cable for a 1989 Jeep Comanche 4.0 (2WD). It's too long for that application. It fits, but there's a significant loop hanging down under the truck. But here's the real problem: it doesn't rotate smoothly. I installed it and my speedometer bounced like crazy. I pulled the cable back off and, sure enough, I couldn't rotate it by hand. I'll be avoiding ATP in the future.

Perfect for my 1987 Jeep Comanche... installed in no time! My jeep does not have cruise control... if yours is the same... this will work for you!

Fit my 1987 Jeep Comanche like a glove. Reads very accurately and at a fraction of the price of the Napa part, which has the wrong connectors.
