So I own an AT-LP120X turntable and wanted to be able to play my 78s, which use a wider 3mm groove compared to LPs which are less than 1MM. This is a standard VM95 cartrage identical to what comes on the turntable, but with the different stylllus needed. It's still the same great stereo cartrage, but it's easier to swap carts than styli, especially since the 120X has a spot forrrr another headshell in back. If you play 78s at all, definately pick this up, playing 78s with an LP stylus sounds terrible and may mess up your stylus or records. Highly recommend this product.

This Audio Technica headshell is used to play old 78 RPM records on my Audio Technica turntable and is easy to swap out with a 33/45 RPM headshell when required.

Product received is used with stain marks and the needle broken. Even the packaging was torn when received. Clearly this is an attempt to deceive the paying customer.This is UNACCEPTABLE. Amazon should take better measures for quality control for duch hugh value products.

Extremely happy and impressed with the quality of sound I'm getting from this piece. Digitizing old 78s after cleaning them and recording using Adobe Audition so if needed, I can do further cleaning of big pops and other surface noise. Impressed by how much information it's picking up after who knows how many years these shallacs were played using a steel needle!

I have a ton of old 78 records and this stylus and head plays them great. the S/N ratio is very good.Stylus cart came attached to the head so all i had to do was attach it to the arm

I just purchased an Audio-Technica turntable with 3 speeds. I was originally going to buy just the 78 rpm stylus so I could play and/ or digitize some of my collection of vintage shellac. I decided to go the extra mile and buy the whole cartridge/ headshell unit instead. Swapping back and forth is easy and only requires the tracking force to be reset. Rebalancing the arm is not necessary. The sound is excellent. The headshell is standard, so it will work with other turntables as well.

This cartridge & stylus is very easy to install. Using Audio Technica AT LP120 turn table, twist connector on tone arm to remove existing cartridge, install the new 78 cartridge and twist the collar to lock.Reset the downforce between 4-6 grams and antiskate to match. Prepare for high quality music you have been missing. Dirty records check on YouTube for cleaning recommendations.

I did a lot of research before buying a turntable because I inherited a pristine collection of 1920’s 78’s in addition to some random 33”s. Audio Techica support walked me through getting the system I wanted, knowing what stylus/headshells to use, and how tot are care of all of my products!!! Their recommendation to purchase this headshell for easy change out to play the 78’s was great advice! The product works great and delivers great sound.
