You have to flex the part for it to fit the shape of the pillar. It appears to be made out of kydex so that would explain inconsistency in fit. Also when you reinstall the pillar, the metal behind it pushes the pin back out at the top.If you want it to actually look good, epoxy the whole thing together before painting. And skip the push pins. 3m tape would have worked if it didn't also have to fight the tension of spreading the mount to fit the pillar.With all that being said it puts a gauge at the perfect angle and barely blocks any vision out the windshield. The texture is also a great match to the car.
