I should have bought the hood protector years ago before the front edge of the hood got so many chips. Works great, easy to install, and looks great. Covered all the chips along the front of the hood.

Before you put this on your truck, make sure you follow instructions and watch a couple videos that will help you a lot, but the product is great

The outer box was fine, the inner box had the top missing, the end of the shield was broken off, it wasn’t in the box, there were light scratches all over the plastic cover on the shield. The instructions were missing as well as the alcohol pads.Update: the replacement arrived yesterday. This time it was in one box, undamaged. Install start to finish took about fifteen minutes with prep time. It fit perfectly and looks great. Amazon needs to step up their game, the original order was shipped damaged, this is horrible customer service IMO.

So I have had this on my truck for a while now and I've driven it thru rain, hot dry weather, car washes, oil even spilled a little.. solid as a rock. The key to this staying on firm is to clean the area it will be on thoroughly! Not just with the cleaning pads it comes with! I actually had some car cleaning wipes (miracle wipes for Auto) that I used first, then dried thoroughly, THEN used the pads it came with.. and followed the direction in which areas to stick first! Total it took maybe 20-25 mins.. but it's solid as a rock!! And looks great!

I bought one of these in the fall of 2018 thrilled to be protecting my investment. I ended up having to sell my truck before I could install, fast forward to Jan 2021 after scrimping and saving and I had a truck again. I am a perfectionist. I washed the truck, prepped with isopropyl alcohol alcohol, with my vehicle in a warm, temperature controlled warehouse and used a heat gun to warm both the surface of the hood as well as the adhesive strips on the protector. I then used the provided cleaning pads for good measure, applied the protector and then used the heat gun again while painstakingly pressing repeatedly to insure perfect adhesion. I borrowed a company truck to let my vehicle sit uninterrupted for an entire weekend. This week the temperature dropped to -30C and the protector ripped off at about 70kph, flew over me and landed half in a snowbank behind me and narrowly missing the vehicle behind me who flew into a horn honking rage. I turned around as quickly as I could to retrieve it, but found it smashed into half a dozen pieces. $120 down the drain and I couldn't have done a more careful painstakingly careful install short of using alternate adhesive. What a waste of money. I considered another until I read a few more reviews that have occurred lately but I think I'll have a look at alternate options that perhaps wrap under the hood and are secured with fasteners.

Put product on June 27th and already the adhesion is not sticking 🙁 always have to keep pressing it down before I drive away. Afraid o e day it’s gonna fly off going down the highway .....

This was a purchase for a 2016 F150 and it fit perfect and looked great. Around town it was great, but the first time I went on the freeway the passenger side, last 6 to 8 inches snapped off and was only held on by the adhesive and was flapping around hitting my hood. Needless to say it is broken and needed to be removed. So I had to remove the rest and remove the adhesive, it was a pain. I am in the middle of reaching out to the company to see if this is normal and how they will handle the issue.
