Appearance: The matte finish of this hood shield adds a touch of sophistication to my F-150 Platinum. It enhances the overall look of the vehicle, giving it a more upscale appearance. The mold of the protector follows the body lines of the hood providing a clean finish.Installation: Following the provided instructions along with the included tips and tricks like starting from the middle and pulling back an inch of tape made the installation process a breeze. I encountered no difficulties during the installation, and everything went smoothly. The adhesive used to hold the shield in place has proven to be reliable, as I have experienced no issues with it so far. If I had one thing to improve it would have been the alignment of the shield along the edge of the hood (the outer edges are slightly uneven, see second photo)Overall, I am highly satisfied with this matte finish hood shield for my F-150 Platinum. It not only enhances the appearance of my truck but also provides functional benefits such as protection against debris and insects while driving. I would definitely recommend this product to other F-150 owners looking to upgrade their vehicle's look and functionality.

The first one arrived by Canada Post damaged. I refused delivery. It was replaced within 4 days, delivered by UPS. IMPRESSIVE. It was a bit fidgety to install alone on my 2020 F-150, but completed with no issues. A helper to hold in place before adhering would have been nice, but I did it on my own with careful perseverance. WOW! After instal I stood back to admire and was very impressed how tight all the seams were. No gaps. The 3M adhesive holds this tightly in place. I've had this on for over 45,000 kilometers now! Through Canadian winters, rain sleet, snow and uncountable car washes. It is stuck! No flapping, (don't rat me out) but it's seen speeds of over 170kms/hour. 105mph/hr for those down south. Do not waste your money on the acrylic versions. They will flap, scratch your paint and finally self destruct in the car wash. Been there, done that! Treat yourself, to one of the best looking upgrades you could install to your pride and joy today. You will not be disappointed! John Wolfe

Beware of the following 3 issues:1. Part issues: Measure the length of LED the moment you take out of the box!!!!! Pre-assembly is required before fastening to the hood. You first must fasten the 1/2" wide LED Strip into a 1 inch wide by 36" long integral channel using the 3M adhesive backing. My first and second Amazon replacement both included a 36 and 3/8 inch long led strip; folks you cannot fit a longer strip into a shorter space!!!!!!!!!! I am sure this is what is most likely causing the strips falling off as noted in reviews because most are forcing the strip into place and causing buckling and poor adhesion.2. Bad Engineering design; the 1 inch wide integral channel the strip is adhered in leaves a 1/4' channel on each side; (that is if you could correctly install). Remember this is a bug shield. Bugs are going to splatter into these 1/4 channels, and when you go wash out these channels your going to put pressure on the strips, and the combination of soap/water and pressure is going to force this strip loose and off. Coming from a design engineer this is a epic design failure!!!! The perfect design would have a tight fitting led strip to minimize bug splatter in seams and seal 3 adhesive from water/soap and side pressure.3. Poor customer service; for the first shield received, I noticed the longer led strip so per Amazon's direction I called ACS customer service. The service girl was very soft spoken and pretty much could cared less of my problem. She simply said she could not help and that I needed to resolve my issue with Amazon. I asked again if she could just to send me a new strip and again no. So I hung up and called again in hopes of getting a new customer rep. Nope, same girl who could careless about helping paying customers. So the only option Amazon could provide is to send me a replacement, so I accepted. Well well well would you know the second shipment came in and once again the led strip was 3/8 inch too long.Needless to Say based on my comments above, I AM DONE. Both are going back to ACS and I am looking for new manufactures of shields.BUY AT YOUR OWN RISK, you have been warned!

Fits my 2020 F-150 Platinum great!OverallThe price is good and Amazon ships it Prime. Hard to beat that. Mine actually came direct from the manufacturer.Shipping box is big but it’s a hard thing to box. It comes wrapped in plastic with instructions and hardware.Now for the installation.Not exactly plug and play but not too hard.I cut the inner flanges smaller (on the ends) with my Dremel (since they hit the inner curve of the hood) and opened up the outer tab holes as well (not a lot just maybe half the existing width plus). I also replaced the supplied push pins with bigger ones from the auto parts store. They are a GM push pin that is just a little bigger and come in a 4 pack from that rack that has all the push pins (if you visit the auto parts store you’ll know what I mean). The supplied ones probably could work but there so darn small and hard to get to stay in since the part doesn’t sit perfectly flush and the pins need to pull it down. Just get bigger ones and make your life easier. I opened up the holes a little with my drill to get the bigger pins in. It’s an aluminum hood and it’s under the gasket, it will be fine!With the new push pins it works great. Also I waited to put the metal clips on until I had it attached with the push pins. It’s ez to do, put the protective tape down, put the clips on.In the end it looks great, the factory gasket still works, and nothing rubs.Last thing, the instructions say to adjust the hood stops up 1.5 turns. I did but then I put another half in the passenger side and took a half out of the driver side so the hood is flush to the fenders. Hood latches well and again nothing rubs. Also, I stuck the bumpers to the piece instead of the truck.Overall happy and would purchase again!
