Needs to be more specific that this does NOT fit a toyota highlander limited! It didn't align with any holes in the hood and we had to drill into the hood.

Looks good overall. I only wish it fit more flush. As far as installation it was easy. First line the mounting holes up with the front weatherstripping clips. This will be the larger strip of rubber on the hood. Then the inner 2 mounts will line up with the smaller strip of rubber on the hood. Once you determine which clips to remove use a clip remover to remove the old clips. Yes they will break. Then install the bug shield mounts underneath both of the hoods weatherstripping. Do not mount on top of the rubber. Then use a screw driver to install the screw clips provided. It will be hard to get the clips in. Just use pressure as you screw them in. Don't bend the new clips. This is for a 2005 Toyota Highlander.

I was concerned that the front hood would not close properly after install or lock down firmly under the pressure of high winds and at freeway speeds, but it fit very well if you don’t tighten each gas yet all the way down until the end when all fasteners are installed. It protects your front from bugs staining your paint and rocks chipping the paint so it’s well worth the cost. The fasteners are not high quality and are single use, meaning only screw them in once as the plastic threads won’t take and hold after removal. I used some stainless steel self tapping screws and large flat washers on two of the fastners that broke despite only using a hand screw driver and no power tool for assembly. Follow the instructions and have someone hold up the other end of the deflector as it’s flimsy until mounted in the holes under the rubber strips on the hood. It fit my 2007 Toyota Highlander perfectly and looks almost factory.

My 2006 Toyota Highlander had a weatherstrip under the hood where the screws needed to be installed. I got longer screws to go thru the weatherstrip and the bugsheild to correctly install. Everything worked out great!!

Had no issues with the installation on an 07 Highlander. Take the time to ensure all holes line up correctly and apply good pressure when installing pins. Nice custom fit and look.

I've had a bugflector that uses metal screws and this one is so much better. It attaches to the clips under the hood. Easy installation.

Great design...sturdy! This well thought out engineering is how everything should be made!Great looking too. It will hold up through the carwash, and any other test thats out there, because of its deeper design rapping under the hood. It's anchored under the hood seals, and if you're cautious enough while taking out the current pop plugs...(going all the way around the plastic pop anchors with a flat head screwdriver) you'll have spares in case you need them for the seals!? The AVS but gaurd has its own locking screw plugs so you'll have everything you need. Buy one...good luck...min was 12 mins. Removing and reinstalling the new guard...Genius.
