No heat, even on highest setting and fully charged battery. Don't waste your time on these. No response from the seller after 3 days.

I remember the days of installing a D cell battery into a heated sock, talk about bulky! These socks are well made, feel very soft, yet sturdy, and the battery packs are very small and slide into a pocket on the side of each sock. There are 3 heat settings for each sock. They definitely take the chill off, however they don't get hot to the touch which is a good thing. The heating element is on the top part of the foot, so you are not stepping on it. This has a nice AC charger that charges both batteries at the same time and they all have indicator lights-this is a nice touch. I would recommend these for low to mid calf height boots or shoes, or tall pack boots, otherwise the battery may feel uncomfortable to you.

These heated socks do just as advertised. They are comfortable and keep your legs and feet warm. They heat up fairly quickly. They get very warm on high...I think that the lowest setting will keep legs adequately warm for quite a while. The recharging process takes several hours but I don't think that's a problem at all considering how long they'll last at the lowest setting. The socks are not as thick as a thermal type sock or thick wool sock but I was hoping that they would be really thin so I could wear them in ski boots, but alas that's not the case. They are a lot thicker than I would like for skiing, as to me the foot-ski boot connection is critical, but for aprรจs ski they'll be awesome, as well as for most other outdoor winter activities as well.Overall they earn 5 stars in my opinion, the skiing issue is my preference, I can't blame the socks.

My son's hands and feet are always cold so we thought we'd get him some of these and he loved them! They have multiple settings to adjust the heat for your comfort, they are nice and thick, and are very comfortable. He wears a size 11.5 shoe and can fit them fine. The battery is pretty small and unobtrusive in a little pocket. He wears them when sitting at his desk, but is anxious to try them hiking and camping. The batteries are rechargeable and comes with a power block. The only suggestion I would make to the manufacturer is to make them rechargeable using a usb port. When we go camping it would be nice to not have to remember the charger box. Most people have a usb/usbc cord because of their phones.

This review is for the Autocastle Heated Socks. I got these socks looking forward to wearing them hunting this year as my toes froze last year. I've tried them around the house so far and will update the review if my opinion changes after hunting with them. Bottom line first... I like the socks, but the heating element is on the top of the feet and the batteries are a bit big, especially to wear with boots. The socks came very well packaged. The charging was as expected and after 12 hours of charge I tried them out. I do have to say they come with a Y charger that allows you to charge both batteries with 1 USB port. I really liked this feature! They warmed up very quickly, but I did find the batteries to be a bit bulky. Once you plug the battery in and turn it on, you put it in a pouch on the outside of your calf. I can imagine that this may get in the way while wearing boots that are more than a few inches above the ankle. The pocket is at the top of the socks about mid calf and the batteries are about the size of a C battery.I had a bit of a hard time feeling much heat from the socks just wearing them without any footwear, but I asked my wife to try them and she thought her feet were on fire, so I guess it depends on the person how much you feel the heat. She had them on low and said they were very hot and I had them on high and could feel the heat after I put on some footwear. When I put boots on it was even better and they did feel like they kept my whole feet warm at that point. One problem with the socks is that the heating element is only on the top of the foot and nowhere else. This makes it so that you do not feel the heat in your toes or the bottom of your feet if you only wear the socks. If you have footwear on, then the heat gets trapped in the shoes/boots and your feet and toes do get warm. Each battery did last 4 hours for me as advertised.I do recommend this product.

I was first thinking "Maybe I don't understand quite how to determine HEAT settings, or maybe mine were faulty?"But either way... I plugged in and attached the batteries, one each to each sock... held down the button til it went ON, then stepped thru RED, YELLOW, GREEN... tried all three different settings as I wore the socks for about three hours, and the whole time, I couldn't really discern ANY substantial amount of heat on my feet.I expected the RED setting surely to heat me up (based on what I've seen, for instance, with similar HAND WARMERs... but no.. just didn't heat up except in ONE SPOT. Very odd.So, I came back home, put the batteries on the charger, and will try them again another day and go for another walk out in the cool, with heated socks supposedly warming me, and see if they behave any differently. From what I can discern, the socks have very limited SPOTS where they heat up, so only those spots heat up. Most noticeable is the top side of each foot heats, and maybe some around the lower calf... But it's definitely not a full foot heat... and unless you put it way up on HOT, you might hardly notice it at all?I'm not overly impressed.
