AC didn't work anymore on the mother in laws car. It wasn't leaking though. Instead of taking the compressor out and replacing, I spent the $12 and replaced this.There is an access panel on the back side of the compressor that can be easily gotten to without pulling the compressor on the old Ford hybridsIt works now. Would do it again. Easy to do, especially with a lift.

Got for Mercury Montego, very common issue in these cars. DONT replace your A/c Compressor. Just replace this valve. 9/10 times that's your problem on these cars.

Best price for this valve. Arrived quickly, and worked great! We were able to install this on my 2006 Ford Escape Hybrid without removing the compressor, but it was tight quarters. My A/C is now blowing ice cold, even at stop lights! This comes with the brass valve, the spring, and the little filter; we reused the oblong shaped o-ring gasket, since this kit does not come with a new one.

Successfully restored the a/c in our 07 Ford Freestyle. My mechanic didn't believe it could be fixed so easily and wanted to sell me a new compressor, but I told him I wanted him to just vacuum out the refrigerant, replace this part via a plate on the compressor, and then recharge the refrigerant. He did as I asked and it works great again. I would have done it myself, but it's not legal to release the refrigerant into the atmosphere and I don't have the equipment to do it right (vacuum pump).

9.99 for this valve, you got to be kidding me. I looked on Amazon for this valve and it ranged anywhere from 9.99 to 49.99, are you kidding me. 9.99 is the best, received quicker than any other vendor and I had no issue with the installation. Usually, when you buy something at this price you would expect something to go wrong, too short, won't fit, but this was perfect so now I can drive in a cool car. Thank you very very much. Excellent product, even better price.
