I was looking for a way to feed my chickens if I leave for a couple days. This is not it. Yes it goes together fine. Pay great detail to the bottom slanted piece because it only fits one way. They don’t tell you that. Water gets into feed. Birds won’t eat out of it and the slant doesn’t keep food where it should be. Waste of money. Waste of feed.

I got so tired of watching my chickens kick all the food out of their feeder that I needed an alternative. Their old feeder was empty within a couple days and it wasn't because they were eating the food. Thought I would give this one a try. Put this together by myself in about 45 min. Pretty easy just pay attention to which side of the bottom panel you are putting the front and back panels on because it matters. Pretty straight forward other than that. It's a game changer. It holds so much food and it lasts so much longer since they can only get their heads in there to eat, not play around. Best product I have purchased in a long time. Highly recommend.

Two of us assembled it in one evening without problem. I especially like it because it cuts down on trips to and from the shed to carry 5-gal buckets of feed so often. Also, I really like that I can keep it outside in our covered pen; no taking up room in the coop. A great buy.

We live this feeder. Keeps a great amount food in run so we aren’t filling food everyday.

The design and idea are great. The product shipped with 2 missing gaskets though. Bolting it together with small bolts and having it reliably hold 85lbs, which is an odd amount anyway, is very questionable. I haven't tested more than a full bag of feed but can't imagine it holding two. Also, if you have feed in the hopper do not try and remove the feed caps. Remove those first because inevitably it unscrews the feeder from the hopper. It's drizzling and foggy today, so I'll check the feeder tomorrow to see if the feed is fairly dry. All in all, not happy with it so far for the money.

This feeder is a good design and works as it should. It was what I needed to fit in the space and feed the chickens. The metal box seems decent quality. The plastic feed fittings are awful. You can only just barely snug them up. If you try to tighten them, the threads slip and they come back loose. You can't tighten it enough for the seal to actually do anything so it's not water tight are the fittings. Nothing strips or gets damaged, the threads just don't make good enough contact to hold.

Took some time to train my chickens but overall works. I have it outside in our open run only covered by trees and water has not gotten inside. I love that caps are provided so I can close the openings every night to prevent rodents etc from eating food. Chickens can still make a mess but it is less than the standard feeding. Would recommend
