Got this 16” brush with 3-6’ button lock rods to sweep a chimney, fireplace where I have just moved in..PLEASE NOTE..I’m an experienced; educated chimney sweep/ inspector.. these are great tools but please…PLEASE remember you need to also clean the smoke chamber, and shelf if you’re taking it upon yourself to save money….. honestly even professionals will cut corners… I worked for a company that scheduled 5 sweeps a day, some inserts, some pellet stoves, some fireplaces. Partial liner for a stove insert you NEED to pull the stove and pipe out.. and clean thoroughly. If you buy the things to do it yourself PLEASE… please do research and take my advice.. or you could end up with a chimney fire and potentially lose your home, valuable pictures; memories..This is a serious task that needs to be handled properly to ensure; longevity and safety; peace of mind for your family!DO NOT CHEAP OUT OR CUT CORNERS..You never know if the previous sweeps did a thorough cleaning.Stay safe, educate yourself, from multiple sources, and you’ll be fine if you pay attention
