Product info says this has WIRE bristles, and it's priced like wire brushes elsewhere, but they are PLASTIC. Absolutely useless for the usual use of cleaning your firebox. This was also noted in another review, my bad for not reading that first I guess and also for trying to use the brush. Now I'm out the cost since manufacturer will only take it back if unused. I expect better from Amazon.

A good brush for the money but not recommended for firebox cleaning. It's just way too light duty and soft to effectively clean soot from corners and hard to reach places. For that you want a stiff or even wire noodle brush in my opinion, not this one. Good for lint traps and similar light duty jobs but just too soft for fireboxes.
