This was a perfect match for the bulb in our Viewsonic PJD5122. Had the old one out and the new one in a matter of a few minutes. The quality image has been restored. UPDATE... Bulb failed after just a few weeks of service on Sunday for 2-3hrs. I'm hoping this was just a fluke and we're in the process of reordering from the same vendor... will update again with new bulb. As for now, reducing the review to four stars and will update this once the second bulb proves its worth. Update: No problems with the return or the refund process. The new bulb is working flawlessly.

Has worked well for the last nearly 2 years in my projector through heavy use, a couple thousamd hours, and is still kicking. I had it as a backup bulb on the shelf for about a year prior to use too. As long as you're willing to work the bare bulb into the housing, this is a more than serviceable replacement.

It was a little different from the original, so it posed a small problem with installation. Anyway it works quite well. One word of advice for those with the Viewsonic PJD5122 model, reset the lamp hours before you change to the new lamp.

Replacing the bulb is a lot easier than you might think, and this is by far the cheapest way to do it. No need to pay extra for another enclosure. The bulb has been working great for over a month.
