Taking the old pump off and installing this new one was an easy peasy task. Minimal tools were required and it took about an hour total and my washer is up and running again :)

Well, after taking everything apart, I found out the culprit that stopped my washer from draining was a hair bobby pin. I was able to replace this without the help of my husband. Previous to receiving the part I had watched a youtube video. But very easy to do and has held up now for 6 months. No leaking no issues.
