This is a quality violin bow by JYR that is affordable to the beginner violin student, but also has the stylings of much higher end bows. Hexagonal stick with beautiful abalone shell slide. The bow is lightweight with a strong curve and perfectly haired. A bow of this style and quality usually sells in shops for price points moderately higher, so for its quality this is the perfect beginner bow for students playing the 7/8 to 4/4 size violins.

I'm an amateur violinist and fiddle player, so I got this bow to have an extra one on hand for when I need one. I'm pleasantly surprized by the quality of this bow. It looks very nice and plays just as well as other bows I've used that were more expensive.
