Yerba Mate is a ritualistic drink for us in Syria. I've been drinking it since I was a child and have tried every type of mate from around the world. Since moving to the U.S., I’ve been careful to buy organic varieties and saw good reviews for this one.In my personal opinion, this is the worst mate I have ever had in my life. It is extremely bitter, full of dust, very fine and heavy, with a moldy taste. I even filtered it three times before drinking, yet it’s still disgusting. 🤢🤢 I absolutely do not recommend it.

I've been drinking this tea for a short while. Hoping to lower my blood sugar and aide with weight loss. I drink this tea in addition to following a low carb diet along with exercise. We'll see where my numbers are in a few months. To me it has a pleasant, yet mild grassy taste. As long as you brew it at 175 degrees or less, it shouldn't be bitter.

The good: The average leaf size is larger, and there's less leaf dust, than many other brands I've tried. There have been no sticks or stems or other non-tea bits.Mostly good: The tea does not smell or taste musty, plastic-y, or burnt. I'm not sure that it's entirely fresh, but it doesn't smell or taste old.The not good: The taste is not very deep or long-lasting. It isn't bitter, but it also isn't exactly flavorful. There's more scent than flavor, and even the scent is quite light. The OK: The bag is large and resealable, and the price is quite low. Conclusion: I find it drinkable if I use a high tea-to-water ratio, however it is serviceable rather than enjoyable; I make a cup when I'm too busy or distracted to care overly much about what I'm drinking. I won't be buying it again.

This is the second time I’m buying this. So I’m really enjoying it. It’s good quality organic mate. The only thing I would say is that it is cut a little small and sometimes you get some leaves getting through.I use an extra layer of tea mesh to make sure none of that is ingested.Overall, it has great taste, is energizing without making you jittery like coffee may. Great alternative to coffee with extra benefits.

I opened the bag and saw with my own eyes the color of the tea without listeinng to others. The color is actually dark green with tan stems in it. 99% of the tea is dark green. I'm glad i didn't return it!19update 17 December 2023: 11:15pm (2315)I had 4kg sitting in my cabinet for a year, and I'm just getting around to using it for the first time tonight.taste is smokey, liked smoked salmon. "mate factor" brand taste greener. This brand has more of a smoked, brown flavor. The color of the leaves is green though. I used like 3 Tablespoons per 16-18 Ounces. I think it's pretty good so far, I'm a little mentally buzzed right now, but that's a good thing19 December 2023 update:Overall, I temporarily went from mate factor to this brand. I’m hating it. , much weaker than “mate factor” Yerba mate.Stimulation and buzz affect kinda weak. it'll do7 January 2024 update:Try grinding the whole leaves in a Vitamix blender with a little hot water.Basically, I'm experimenting with consuming the whole leaf like how matcha green teais consumed!
