The wires used inside the insulation wrapping are really thin gauge and quickly break through normal useage. Soldering inside the hollow battery compartment was low quality and quickly broke and stopped functioning. Almost impossible to re-solder wires due to minimal strands and so so so thin. This things was designed to be cheap and break quickly. Don't waste your money and pick up the Yaesu one instead. At least it works.

Seems to function satisfactorily with my Yaesu FT-70DR HT. The cord is a bit short, and only marginally acceptable for some uses. Would give it an additional star if the cord were a foot or 18 inches longer.Update: Battery eliminator stopped working after 3 to 4 uses. Guess one could still use it for a paper weight. Dropping rating from 3 stars to 1 star.
