I used it a few times on our days at the beach. It's easy to use and holds up our umbrella with no issue. There is a little hole on the side, it's by design. It's easy to take it off and clean it up. You will need to put some pressure when putting it down in the sand. I like hooks that it's a very nice touch. Great product for beach umbrellas.

Considering the price, it's an ok product. Similar to dozens of other umbrella anchors on Amazon and should work ok in soft dry sand. Seems a bit flimsy for use in wet or packed sand though. And I'm curious about the hole in the side of the tube near the bottom that allows sand to pour into the tube. What the heck is that about? I saw the same hole in photos of other anchors and ordered this one because it had no photos showing the hole. And yet, when I received it, there was that hole. Too much trouble to return it so I plan to patch it somehow. But why on earth did they put it there in the first place?Including the hanger hooks was a good idea though.

One thing to consider is the umbrella shaft needs to be relatively wide so the threaded nut can secure the unit.
