Chances are if you’re buying this for your mazda the master cylinder is not the problem. Chances are you have a bad ABS unit, even though it’s not throwing error codes, and it really feels like the master cylinder. Take it from me, it’s not the master, it’s the ABS unit.If you do need it, this master cylinder is of excellent quality & works as expected. I would recommend it to anyone if it’s really your problem, but if you own this car chances are it’s your ABS module. The ABS module is $900 from the dealer only (unless you rebuild or buy one rebuilt) and another $500 for them to install it. You cannot install it because it needs to be programmed to your VIN after to function. Do not buy it used either, unless remanufactured.Good luck!

Terrible item. I got it installed and it worked for about less then a week and failed. You could hear the whistling in the seals that the fluid got passed. Also the return policy for this item is exactly at 30 days and for something like this I think it should be about 90 days minimum incase of issues.

I purchased this product and did replace the one on my vehicle due to brake issues. Still no success and brakes were still spongy and traveling nearly to the floor (original problem). Asked my mechanic his opinion and he stated that some new master cylinders can be "bad" from the factory. He replaced the new one for another new one, bled the brakes again, and tada.....fixed. Mechanic's diagnosis....."bad new master cylinder." I had to send the product back for a refund and pay double the amount to the mechanic for the same job that I had already done once. Waist of time. I have a 2010 Mazda 3s. I'm not a professional vehicle mechanic, but I do have some mechanical experience.
