Nothing beats a real crawler. But keep these on hand for a back up if necessary. Need to supply the action as they have done on their own. Are quite durable. I do think they are kind of pricey for what they are, but what are you going to do.

Worked great on trolling rig for trout. I am sure it wooing work equally well for pinkish on Jughead or just bare hook. Packed in garlic- like liquid keeps them fresh. Used them on trout trolling rig and produced well.

The artificial bait look like a real worm much easier to work with than real worms

I’m an avid trout fisherman but not with lures. My “go to” most dependable bait has been live night crawlers for many years. Last year I tried the Pinched Crawlers, fishing one rod with them and at the same time another with live crawlers. The results were that both catch trout in about equal numbers, however, I think the pinched crawlers catch a little bigger fish. Plus the mess is greatly reduced and cost “per fish” is about equal because the artificial bait wil usually catch 2-4 fish before it’s lost or destroyed. I’m sold! The bigger size works best for me.

Works great to catch finicky trout. It does float above the weeds and rocks, just make sure your leader is long enough for conditions, and hook/line is not too heavy to weigh down the bait. The liquid the bait is packed in is very strong-smelling, which is good for attracting trout. However, the cap on the plastic bottle does not seal properly and will leak the smelly liquid wherever and whenever you store it. I would give the bait itself highest marks, but downgraded to 4 stars because of the leakage issue. Ypu may want to repack the bait and liquid in another leak-proof container.

These do not work well. Ive tried them multiple times . In spots where real nightcrawlers get destroyed by wild trout. And nothing on these. Meanwhile the pole right beside it with the real nightcrawler gets a ton of bites.

Did well with these trout fishing on lakes from shore. I like the fact that they float, which means I can float them off the bottom with a lead off of a sinker and swivel. And the stinky garlic juice seems like a good scent, and keeps the plastic worms moist in the jar. I plan to use these a lot more for lake trout. (I also recommend the BG worm threader tool for getting these onto a hook...works better than wrestling with the hook).
