INSTALLATION STEPS
Before installation, please remove the original hooded catches first, and then replace our hood catches according to the instruction.
Step 1 2 3: Fix the upper and lower parts of the hood latches with screws.
Step 4 5 6: Fix the lower end of the connecting rod with screws and secure the upper end of the connecting rod with a bolt.
Step 7: Rotate the connecting rod to adjust the length.
Step 8: Lock it with the key.
Step 9: Finished installation.

Needed to replace my hood latches on my wrangler and I choose these. These are super nice and seem sturdy. I like the lock feature but that may prove to be problematic due to needing a "key" to release them. They fit well and I like the look of these on the Jeep. Hope they hold up as they are nice.

These are so far extremely sturdy and I think look great. My previous set was a locking latch but could only be adjusted by loosening and raising the hood hooking piece. This model lets you adjust the tightness by turning the turnbuckle and tightening the lock nut. The cable is coated in plastic so that's nice but it really doesn't move at all. Overall it locks the hood down solid and has zero movement at high speed.

The instructions for installation that are supposed to be included with the package were not included. Thankfully, some youtube videos were able to supplement the lax instructions. Once you look at everything, it eventually makes sense.Other than not having instructions, the hood latch seems very sturdy. I just installed it today and took it for a ride. I got up to about 65-70mph with no hood flutter. I am not a fan of the locking mechanism on the latch. Two, specialized keys are included with the kit. Thankfully, they have rings to where you can connect it to your key rings, so you don't lose them. Seems like there could be an easier setup than a specialized key.Solid construction, looks good on the jeep. All parts replace the former hood latch components. No drilling necessary (although, I did have to fedangle one piece a little bit in order to get it to set). Poor instructions on how to install.

Only time will tell if the hardware is sturdy. However, so far it is performing perfectly in keeping the hood of my Jeep secure -- no more hood bounce at highway speeds. Once I found the perfect setup, I added green Loctite to the jam nut to lock it in place, and I also made sure to add some machine oil to the pins so that it should stay protected from moisture for a while, I will just re-oil it a couple times per year.
