I know it is plastic but it just looks so plastic. Also I didn't get any kind of adhesive tape with it. I could have complained but just didn't want to mess with it.

The top fit at first and looked good, then we went for a ride. At first the straps whistles so bad. Adjust it and the top flaps non stop over 35. Forget the interstate, I can’t go on there with the top on. Don’t waste your money.

Flaps in the back loudly and the straps break. Good for around town but not on the highway. It started flapping so bad on the first ride that I had to pull over and take it off.

Outstanding top, especially for the price. I just received and installed my second one. If I was handy with sewing, I probably could have replaced the nylon strap that broke. I got 5 summers (13-17) out of this top. The top itself is still perfect but, I probably would have spent more getting the straps replaced. Yes, the clips for the rear end are plastic and you'll probably have to replace them. Yes, it does flap at highway speeds. That in no way diminishes the value of this top and the fun you'll have cruising all summer.

Does its job but not the tightest fit.Bestop prides itself on convoluted design and unintuitive assembly. I couldn't believe that I actually had to consult the instructions several times when first fitting this to the jeep.One more strap from around the roll bar to the windshield would have created higher tension over the cab area, and less bubbling and flapping.The 'hooks' on the straps that run to the body seem cheap likely to break or bend over time.

I gave this top a 3/5 because, while it serves its purpose, it also has some major drawbacks.The good: It keeps the wind and rain out, and it'll keep you from getting sunburned from being in the car for extended periods of time.The mediocre: Going with the solid black instead of a mesh top means, with full doors and windows up, it almost feels like you're riding with a soft top on. For some people that may not be a bad thing, but I like the wind in my hair, so I was a little disappointed, but I just keep the windows rolled down, and I think the tradeoff is worth it. This top would pair better with half doors or no doors though.The bad: The straps holding the top on, especially the ones in the back, are weak and flimsy. At highway speeds they quickly come loose, causing the top to flap violently in the wind. I ended up completely removing the back straps from the the plastic cinch on down, and replacing them with cam straps. Since then I haven't had any issues with excessive flapping, though the top does still flap a little, but that's to be expected.Bottom line: If you get this top, either don't use it at highway speeds, or replace the back straps with something stronger. Otherwise, it works well as a sun/wind shade.

90% satisfied It is perfect for what it is. Keeps the Sun and Rain off you when the hardtop & Doors are off. I have only two gripes.1) no matter how right you make the rear strapsat highway speeds the middle of the top at the rear only chatters. You get used to it.2) the snap clips that clip into th slots on top of the Jeeps bed rails are flimsy and bend out of shape easily, with that said they have not failed yet, anyways. I am going to find something else to use, maybe attach with a bolt to the hard top slider attachments.Everything else is fantastic ! Top material is excellent, drains the rain off really well. And it looks pretty good :-)
