Very well made and as kits go, this one was very well planned and set up. The intonations are a bit off but it plays very easily for a 12 string. String height it perfect and all the electronics work perfectly.

This was my first guitar build and I took my time and completed the project in stages. I finished the body in a satin brown, slightly distressed look and was very pleased with how it turned out. I finished the maple neck and headstock in a clear satin coat. The frets needed very little edge filing, I oiled the fretboard, attached the neck without issue, and inserted a bone nut I purchased. The bone nut needed shims as the fretboard groove was cut deeper and wider than a standard Strat nut required, but I made it work. The loaded pick guard dropped in just fine and I fiddled with the strings for quite a while to get a very low action without breaking one - even the high G string! I decided not to use the string tree as I've seen other electric 12-strings go without one, and it sounds good without it. The guitar plays and sounds great with very low action and it was a winning purchase - thanks!

Wasn’t sure if I would want a 12 string so this was a cheap option. I am very happy with how it came together. Everything included works and assembled easily.I stained mine with Rit dye, then finished it with Tru Oil. I also switched the electronics for a preloaded pick-guard that I already use in another guitar.

All the parts were there, the frets were level, and nothing was broken. That’s the good part. The plastic fret board took a lot of work to make it look okay. The bridge was so poorly made the octave strings wouldn’t even stay in their saddles, so I replaced it with a Gotoh bridge of the same design but better quality. The neck pocket was not routed deep enough, and the G string buzzed on the first fret because the nut was cut too deep. I can’t say how the stock pickups are because I added a loaded pickgaurd before building. The tuners aren’t the worst I’ve ever had used, but I will definitely replace them as well. After a lot of extra work and money I have a pretty decent playing 12 string.

Nice heavy hard wood. The electronics were surprisingly good sounding. I did use better stings. The tuners are cheap…but the hold tune and function properly. Cheap dime size pots but they sound great so it left them in. One of the better kits I have worked with.

Did not come with instructions. Seller says look it up on amazon. Instructions on Amazon are not good. Can't set neck, bridge or install strings properly without instructions can't, It is a 12 string, different from a 6string. Ground wire lead to nowhere. Seller can't give good advice, just looked it up!

I have made several of these DIY guitars over the years (at least 6 of them). This is one of the best kits I have come across. The neck joint was a perfect fit. The wood looks to be mahogany. The body is full-sized, and all the router work is spot on. Everything lined up on center. The biggest question mark when buying a kit like this is will the neck be straight and the fretwork any good?? I was extremely happy with this neck, perfectly straight, truss rod works, and the fretwork was satisfactory. Any kit you buy the frets will need a little bit of work, for this kit that work was minimal. The bridge is decent. With all of these kits you should trash the pickups and buy a decent pair to replace them. The tuners are pretty standard for a kit, an upgrade would be nice, but these will work for now. Hard to believe this kit was ~$150 in 07/2023. Very good value for the money. Some paint, a $50 set of pickups and you have a nice 12 string telecaster under $250.

A decent amount of builder experience is required as there were no instructions included. The build is fast though, thanks to well fitting parts and accurate pre-drilling. No soldering required is a nice touch; electronics are plug and play. Applying finish takes some time with final setup being perhaps the most time consuming element. I shimmed the neck joint a bit to angle the neck back and a nice low action for easy fretting was the result. I first installed the one-piece string tree, but found it affected and interfered with smooth tuning and decided it wasn’t necessary.A unique Tele Twelve that’s fun and easy to play is not likely to be found anywhere else for $150. That almost amazes me!
