Bought these to mount some 2 1/2 hose on the wall.I tried them with 2 different brands of hose, same results. The clamp wouldn't fit flush to the wall no matter how much I tried to push the hose down.I used some thin wood for shims because of the gap between the bottom of the clamp and the wall, the first one I tried screwing in, I over tightened by a hair and the plastic split.For the money, I'll be ordering metal clamps in the future.

Used these for vacuum hoses I installed for my wood shop. Did a good job of mounting them on my walls. Buy more than you think you need, they're not expensive and will keep the hose nice and snug against the wall with no droop.
