I really wanted to like these but unfortunately for me I've tried and tried to make these work and not sure if it's just me and something I'm doing wrong or if it's defective but I've had zero luck with them and I've tried them all out thinking maybe I'd have better luck but unfortunately not the case!

These are very high quality.same appreciate price as the other brands, but the half circle part is metal and is better, the felt part is thicker, and the interesting weird sounds I can make are amazing. When I got one going the first day, I laughed so hard. Which made more weird sounds that kept me laughing. And it's so stealthy that in a public place, nobody knows it's me making those noises. So fun!

I saw a demo of bird whistles on the internet and immediately went to Amazon and ordered a set. I've never been able to whistle in any way. My parents did, my brothers did, my husband and son do - I can't make a sound. The day the whistles arrived, I moistened one on my tongue as instructed, and then tried saying words. Nothing. I tried for 15 or 20 minutes with no success. Rats. I'll try again later.

The Zmmyhulu Bird Whistlers are a nice set of Swiss bird whistles that come in a set of five.Swiss bird whistles traditionally have a leather base. These, however, are made out of a high-quality paper which holds up pretty well and is more environmentally friendly. The whistles are the traditional half-moon shape with scalloped edges. There is a metal inner plate that holds the cellulose (or possibly plastic) membrane that produces the warbling sound. The Whistler is moistened in your mouth, placed on your tongue, flat side/membrane side forward, and pushed up to your palate. You then make sounds like 'shhhh' and, so long as the Whistler is in the correct position, you will make a bird sound. You have to play with the position on your tongue and palate until you get it right. You can then vary the sounds ('chip,' 'cheep,' etc.) to get different kinds of bird sounds. You can get a surprising number of sounds out of the Whistler with just a little practice and varying yourGetting this to work will take a bit of practice, but it is not all that hard. The Whistlers are not exactly fragile, but it's nice that they come in packs of 5, as I went through two of them just learning how to use it. The membrane is somewhat fragile and you have to make sure that you are careful with it. If you push on the membrane and loosen it or break it, the Whistler won't work. The only negative side effect of the Whistlers is that you might drive your family crazy as you are learning to use them. There is a simple solution: give your kids their own Whistlers and they will be so absorbed in learning how to make new bird call sounds, they will stop being bothered by the squawks and squeaks of your first attempts. NOTE: The Whistlers are small and are not suitable for very young children, who could either swallow or choke on the product. The Warblers did not come with more than very cursory instructions and the company did not provide a link to a how-to video. That said, they have pretty good instructions on their product page and you can find any number of tutorials online. This was as surprisingly simple and fun way to imitate bird calls. Recommended.

I was really excited about these Bird Whistles (Swiss Warblers) but unfortunately, they didn't live up to my expectations. It was my mistake—I didn’t realize they were made out of paper, which means they're not reusable like I had hoped.Despite following the directions closely (I read them over and over), I could not get them to produce any bird sounds at all. I even had a kid practice with them, and while they could feel vibrations on their tongue and mouth, that's the only thing they noticed—no tweeting or bird noises whatsoever. For something labeled as "fun bird callers," they just didn't work for us. Sadly, I wouldn’t recommend these, especially if you're looking for something reusable or functional.

There's a bit of a learning curve to handling these, but once you get it down you can see how they can help you produce bird-like sounds. The better you are at whistling or controlling airflow through them, the more unique sounds you can make using these. I like that it comes with many, because they are small and easy to lose. Though I am careful with mine, younger bird enthusiasts may find them flimsy and easy to damage.
