This serving board looks very high end and has a great finish, but it is also VERY heavy and large enough that there are not many good storage options besides leaving it out on the counter. It is great for putting together a charcuterie board and can be chilled beforehand if you like.It would be nice to have a defined place to pick up the bards from, as it can be awkward to try and get your hands under the board due to the weight, but it can be done with some sliding and practice. Otherwise, it is a great conversation starter when serving company and sees regular use in our house.

these boards are gorgeous but the company sent this one out with yellowish orange stains in the marble? hard to understand the logic of sending it out looking like that... I want this exact board without the yellow marks! @BIRDROCK HOME how do I order one without getting those ugly marks?!

Super heavy and extra long but for the price it’s a great value. A little hard to store away due to size and weight so if you have space to leave it out - especially if you have marble countertops - that’s the best solution

The well-packed marble serving board arrives with ample foam wrap protecting the rounded corners and edges. Once unwrapped, you'll find it weighs 15 pounds, so be sure you are comfortable lifting it with two hands rather than by the leather loop provided. The enclosed instructions provide clear sealing/cleaning tips to prolong the useful life of the serving "board" (though no wood is involved!), and appropriate cautions will prevent stains from becoming permanent. I envision chilling this in the fridge prior to serving deli meats and cheeses at parties, thus prolonging the freshness of the food. If you have a place to store it, and don't mind lifting it, you will certainly get good use from it. The vendor's photos are accurate representations of the marble slab, so I have not added more images here.

When I first got this package, I thought it was something else because it was so large and heavy... I could not believe how big this thing is! I did read the measurements before ordering, but I guess in my head I just didn't picture it the correct size.This is a giant hunk of solid marble that has been honed smooth, I can tell it's real by looking closely, I can see flecks shining in the light and I can see the veiny marble pattern. I had to watch a Youtube video on how to identify real vs fake marble, because I am no expert, and this passes with flying colors.One of the things I really like about this is just how cold it is naturally, which is perfect because I got this for serving sushi on! It stays cold at all times unless you intentionally heat it. So it's great for serving chilled things on. I am also able to fit it into my fridge to chill it, even though I have an upright fridge that is very narrow.I did some reading on the internet about marble serving platters, and discovered that you can also heat them in your oven for serving hot foods on. I was so excited that I had to try it out. I put my oven without really thinking, and it got too hot to touch! I let it cool down in there and took it out. I left it on my counter and it stayed really warm for a long time, I think around 45 minutes to an hour later it was still warm, but I wasn't timing, and when I picked it up there was a warm spot on my counter where it'd been sitting.So far, I have only served sushi on it for me and my partner, we really enjoyed it, and it gave our food a very fancy presentation, we love it! I must admit though, that I am mildly concerned about staining with repeated use, but we'll see how that goes, if it stains or breaks I will update this review!

My wife and I have been looking for a marble serving board for a while, and we decided to give this one a shot. Usually I don't purchase this type of item on Amazon, because I prefer to touch and feel items like this in-store, but we weren't finding anything we liked, so we took a shot.This serving board arrived packaged very securely and in perfect condition. If you have trouble carrying something that is heavy, I would stay away from this, as it is real marble and weighs nearly 14 pounds.It looks beautiful right out of the box. I did purchase a food grade marble cleaner / sealer in advance, because you want to keep the board cleaned and sealed to try to prevent any sort of staining when used with certain foods. The instructions provided with the board do get into good detail on how to care for the board as well.Just know in advance, this is NOT A CUTTING BOARD. This is purely for serving.It's natural coldness is great for serving cold foods, even if you don't refrigerate the board, which I have yet to try.It looks great, and so far has cleaned up great. While this has a leather strap for hanging, I am not sure I am comfortable finding anywhere in my kitchen where I would hang this, given how heavy it is, and the damage that could be caused by it falling.But it really good look great and is a really nice size for serving. Can't wait till the holidays to use it more.
