This upright vacuum cleaner is better suited for cleaning carpets than typical canister vacuums and takes up less space for storage. The vacuum contains a easy to empty dirt cup. A roller brush with four bristle strips moves debris toward the vacuum inlet for cleaning. The magnet bar helps prevent small metal objects such as staples from harming the motor. The vacuum fan is reinforced for durability. The metal hood has V-shaped motor vents for air circulation, and the front housing is clear so that blockages can be spotted. A heat overload protection system helps prevent damage to the motor if the vacuum bag is full. The vacuum head can be adjusted to six positions to accommodate different flooring surfaces. The chrome hood provides access to the motor and has smooth contours that enable it to be wiped clean. The foot release pedal is made of steel, which is a rigid metal that is resistant to rust and wear. Rear wheels help facilitate transport. A 50-foot power cord enables the vacuum to cover a larger area without changing outlets than vacuums with shorter cords. Cord strain relief provides flexibility and maneuverability.

Overall pretty good vacuum to use daily. The belt breaks often and the vacuum tends to over heat. Thought it would be nicer for the price.

I do not like this vacuum at all. I have had nothing but problems with it. The rubber hose attachment if you can get it attached is extremely tight and has ripped. I replaced the part and the unit pickup container had to be lowered so as to not put undue pressure on the rubber hose. Now it is smelling hot all the time.

Sadly, I ordered two of these and one stopped working after a month. The cost to fix will be greater than the cost to purchase.

This machine is very similar to the Sanitare vacuums we used to buy. Between this and the 1937t we buy, they work great.Ive had 2 units for approx. a year. Aside from having to change belts frequently (which is common with these type of machines), I have had no issues.

shameful excuss for a vacuum. it doesn't pick up anything. simply shoots debree backwards onto your shoes. bissell should refund everyone who purchased this vacuum. this one purchase will keep me from buying any bissell vacuum. on average i buy a dozen vacuums per year for my business but never again will it be a bissell - they must know this doesn't work but they keep selling it. SHAME ON THEM!

Dislike it greatly because it came with NO hardware to put handle and cord on. So we called to get replacement parts and 4 weeks later we are still waiting. We put it together with store bought bolts and it performs like a rebuilt vacuum rather than a brand new one as it is supposed to be. It propels dirt rather than vacuuming it up. And it is noisy: squeaks and makes shrill noises the entire time it's running. We will absolutely be returning this item and will NOT purchase another one.
