As with others, the inner plastic broke apart in my door handle. It was easy to pop the plastic pieces out of door and slip this new one in over the old one. Took about 3 min. Shiny and I like it!

I have no clue why this part states "frequently returned item"... Customers must not be paying attention to the disassembly process. The flat portion of your factory handle pulls straight out of the top... Insert the new handle right in! Looks original and good quality plastic. 2014 X3 Beige. 💯

Had to replace the door handle on a BMW X3 and this handle fit perfectly. Installation is quick and extremely easy. Took maybe 10 seconds to put on.

There are no instructions but all you need to do is to remove the flat part of the original part in your X3 (it should snap off in two points) and you can leave the front curved part in place. Then place the entire new compartment (as you have received it). It will snap to the two original points and the top rim will cover your old one.
