gasket has metal interior like more expensive gaskets but was folded double and stuffed in a shipping bag. after carefully straightening the gasket, I put it on the pan and had 1/8" gap at front and back oval part. it stated that it had the thickened front seal to work with 75 and up s.b.c. pans but didn't. also the lip that covers the edge of the front of the pan is paper thin. In short, this gasket is junk. it may work ok for pans older than 1975. but I am not sure. going in the shops trash bin

This gasket was folded and twisted multiple times and placed into a box that was to small. When I received this item it was ruin. I do not recommend ordering from them
