Other than the package arrived missing 5 of the nuts and bolts, nothing else was amiss! Seems to be well made and not very heavy. Easy assembly

First off this thing is deceptively misrepresented. The headline is “Aluminum.” Sure except for the massive iron bar running right down the middle. Then the headline is “light weight.” Are you serious? This behemoth weighs in at 75 pounds so it’s like working out at the gym every time you load your bike up. A pain in the butt to put on and take off. But that’s not the real problem. The excessive weight even unloaded will drag the tail end so far down it will drag on any part of a hill. Picture it as a tow trailer someone forgot to put wheels on and you’re just dragging it around. Forget about ever returning it. Assembly and disassembly for shipping will literally take you a day, with at least 100 nuts, bolts washers, etc. Impossible to re-pack. But the cherry on the sundae? The disreputable seller/manufacturer that created the misleading description to begin with. Their response to my pleas for help: “the problem is your SUV not our rack. Have a nice day.” I ordered atleast 4 extenders/risers trying to get rid of the drag: no go. Great concept which is completely implausible in execution. You have been warned.

Pretty nice bike rack it holds my two electric bikes. Fairly straightforward to assemble and couple into the hitch. Although it’s made out of aluminum it is still very sturdy and a bit heavy.Pretty good value for the money.

Know what you are buying. I purchased this for my e-bikes. This rack it really for motorcycles. This is very heavy duty and almost too much for one person. It is made very well but heavy. The directions are almost nonexistent. I watched a YouTube that was made by a kid and not that good. Not easy to assemble by any means. If you hang two bikes you MUST have 4 ratchet straps. This does not have the typical frame stability bar that holds the bike frames kind of like you see on a typical bike rack.Tons of nuts and blots so double check your work. I went through it twice and both times I found bolts that I either missed or needed to be tightened. The long and short it is a good rack but the instructions sucked. It’s super heavy. Probably need two people. And this is not a rack for a quick set up. Remember if using a truck load your bed first because once the bikes are loaded your tailgate will not be able to be opened. I probably should have bought a lighter weight rack because I’m not putting motorcycles on it.

Heavy but very functional. Carries two Aventon Adventure 2 (about 80 pounds each) easily. Love the ramp for loading bikes.

In all our searching, we weren't able to find anything as beefy and capable of carrying heavier bikes than this. It went together without a "hitch" haha. And honestly, both of our heavy ebikes went up there and strapped on with ease. We took a small trip right away after receiving the hitch, and and they stayed in place without any movement at all. The nice thing is, there's enough space to also fit our fold-up dog kennel and strap it in place, which saves room instead of having to put it on or in our vehicle. It feels incredibly solid and can easily hold a few hundred pounds without concern. If you're sick of looking at all the weak looking rear bike hitch racks, just pick this beast up.Note: You will need to take it off in order to fit very well in a parking spot but...that's kinda obvious.

One of the biggest problems with getting an expensive, good quality ebike is that carrying these heavy suckers is difficult. Regular bike carriers will just bend or break. (Trust me, I've tried using them!) With top of the line ebikes weighing in at 75 pounds a piece, you can't just trust any carrier or you could kill someone on the highway when your carrier fails and your ebikes are hit by a passenger car. This carrier uses a standard trailer towing receiver, which makes it fairly easy to use. We use our Chevy Silverado 1500 LT with the standard receiver. That set up is rock solid, especially with the included carrier stabilizer attachment.Since the unit is made from very strong aluminium, it doesn't weigh too terribly much. One grown adult can install it and disconnect it. It's big, so storage is an issue if you don't feel like taking it apart (which isn't hard but could be more time consuming that you want to spend.)Putting it together was simple. I was able to set it up in about an hour and I am not a tools kind of guy.I love that the ramp has a built in storage location though I will say the two little plastic knobs that hold it on the carrier are a bit skimpy and we've already lost one which must have come off due to the vibration while driving. It's not a big deal since a couple velcro straps will hold the ramp in place just fine. The construction is superior and it looks great. Our only complaint is there isn't a rod in the center which you can use to tie down the bikes to avoid them from leaning. In fact we almost lost both bikes since they leaned over so far they nearly fell off. This is certainly a user issue, I should have tied them down better, and certainly the unit comes with a fantastic tie down system, but at the same time, sometimes it's better to add safety features to a product to avoid dangerous situations that uneducated users like myself unintentionally create.Over all this product gets an excellent review and it would get OUTSTANDING, if they add the center stabilizer pole.
