These tend to disappear when a crash knocks off the canopy. Hard knocks on the canopy usually result in cracks at the mounting points, which also make it hard for the grommet to stay securely in the hole. Fix this by getting the grommet back in place, and then putting clear packing tape (or even Extreme Packing Tape) over the grommet on both sides. Then a hobby knife can be used to cut a small slot in the tape where the mounting posts can go back through the grommets. You should never fly without the canopy... sure it's possible, but that canopy really adds a good layer of protection to no only the battery, but wire connections, servos, receiver (basically, everything on the 5-in-1 controller). And who wants to miss a weekend of flying because their canopy won't stay on? Not me, and not you either! When I take the Blade 120 SR out to fly, I keep a little baggy of spare head links and grommets in the box that holds the spare batteries.Okay, if you're in a pinch, and waiting on these to arrive, you can get by temporarily by using the above taping method without grommets, and just make a tiny slot in the tape, just large enough to get the posts started through the holes. That will give you enough grip on the CF mounts to keep the canopy on for a few flights. Replace the tape as needed. I hate to see anyone miss a chance at flying.Make these one of your essential crash kit items.
