As another reviewer already wrote, this reel seat does not open as far as one would hope/think.Specifically, it only opens far enough to accept a reel mount ~2.5" (~60mm) in lenght.Most saltwater trolling/casting reels need an opening about about 65mm.Of course, I only discovered/realized this AFTER I had glued up the whole seat/handle. Ugh.Trying to figure out my best option to get it to open another 8mm to accept my reel.

The reel seat is not long enough, so when you loosen the nut it cant go back further to get reel in it. Over all is a fair a product but be aware it won't go back any further once you back grip is place.
