As an amateur welder, I’m still navigating my way through the tools and equipment I need to get the job done. I decided to pick up the BOWELD Argon/CO2 MIG TIG Flow Meter Gas Regulator Gauge for my MIG and TIG welding projects. For the most part, it does what I need it to do, but there are a few things I wish I’d known before making the purchase.First off, the regulator seems to be well-built. It connects easily to my argon tank, and there’s no issue with leaks or problems when I hook it up. I appreciate that it has a solid brass construction—giving it a durable feel that will hopefully last through many future welding projects. The gauge is clear and easy to read, which is really helpful for someone like me who still has to focus a bit more than most people when working. It’s reassuring to be able to easily track the gas flow to ensure that I’m getting consistent, efficient welds. For someone who’s still learning, that’s definitely an important feature.The flow control is another positive. I’ve had no issues maintaining a steady flow, which contributes to clean and controlled welds. It’s hard to overstate how crucial that is, especially when you’re trying to get things just right as a beginner.That said, there are a couple of downsides. One is that it didn’t come with instructions. While I get that most experienced welders can figure it out without help, for someone new like me, a bit of guidance would have been appreciated. The other thing to note is that this product doesn’t come with the hoses needed to hook everything up. I had to order those separately, which was an added inconvenience I didn’t anticipate. It’s not a huge issue, but it’s worth mentioning, especially for a beginner who might expect everything to come in one package.Overall, the BOWELD gas regulator works well for what it is. It’s solidly built, offers consistent flow, and is fairly priced. With the minor caveats about the lack of instructions and missing hoses, I still think it’s a good choice for anyone who is just starting out in welding.

I picked up this regulator to use with my argon tank and Tig welder set up. For the price it seems to be a solid regulator. It connected to my tank and to my hose easily and feels very solid. I’ve only used it once, but it seems to be working well, especially at this price point. My only issue would be that instructions aren’t included. But, if you’ve been working with tanks and welding before, you should have no issues connecting this without instructions. Good product for the price.

No leaks and easy to adjust. Much better than a standard regulator for tig welding.

The main body of this is brass as it should be. The housing of the high pressure gauge appears to be painted in a brass color in an attempt to match.The flowmeter has markings on one side for Argon and Carbon Dioxide on the other.The low side connection is made with a barbed brass fitting and hose clamps.It seems to work as it is supposed to. I will update if I have any issues.
