This is the third Bobelock case I own; I also own a Superior fiberglass case, along with various cases that have come with instruments. After researching cases all over again, I chose the Bobelock 1002 case (my 2nd) for a $2-3K instrument, for the case's acceptable compromise among protection, other features, quality, and price. The case feels solid and sturdy, and I feel comfortable with its plywood construction. The velcro-strap shoulder rest storage (I have a collapsible Kun) under the neck leaves more room in the storage compartment. The shoulder strap that comes with the case is adequate, but I like an Aircell neoprene strap for greater comfort. Dealer was very helpful when I needed to change my color selection. I'd buy this case again.

This is a well designed product designed to accommodate all of the usual accessories. Fit and finish is excellent. Good quality for a fair price.
