This tip makes all the difference.Without it I have to use a pry bar to force down on the three point auger.

This comes with a thick powder coating which I didn't bother measuring but pretty sure it was over 2 inches.I wire wheeled it all off the shank which got me down to a diameter of 50 mm which is almost 2"I then had to turn it on a bench grinder for 30 minutes which still didn't get it down the advertised diameter and from there had to pound it in my auger but and now will never be able to replace it.

It won't fit directly into the auger without grinding off some of the black coating. Other than that it's great, but it should be designed to fit straight in without grinding.

This bit is super solid - well made - depending on your shaft -you might have to grind one side so that the bolt can go all the way through...... Glad I bought this
