I don't even think it's laminated particle board. It's some sort of composite plastic, it's kinda weird. But for a small, lightly used, kitchen breakfast table it's perfect. It just has a modern look that people want, which is why it's almost twice the price that it should be. But the 3-star review is due to the fact that it doesn't have adjustable feet, and mine is very wobbly. It's so bad I'll have to shim it; a basic table at this price point should include adjustable feet. And yes, it was assembled correctly (which took me 5 minutes, but I'm a "Handy Man" by trade, it might take you 15 😉). But the obviously fake wood texture and distressed/driftwood look is exactly how you'd imagine. The review with the pics about discoloration is bizarre to me. It looks EXACTLY like the Amazon pics.

I got the wire brush color and this works perfect in our kitchen area. Enough for 4 people to sit and eat at it. Easy to assemble and I like the quality. Seems sturdy

It turned out to be the perfect choice for my small condo kitchen /laundry room. I sit at it for my morning coffee and it makes a handy folding table for my clothes right out of the dryer. It feels sturdy for regular household use and I think it will be a convenient food prep island too. Another plus is the stools fit neatly underneath making a small footprint.

This table has definitely met and partially exceeded my expectations. It was simple to assemble and is sturdy enough that my kids are able to craw on the support beams underneath it. It’s a great counter height table and could easily be used for a pub table with the right bar stools/chairs.

This the perfect table for my basement studio. Sturdy, solid and a reasonable price. I had ordered the matching saddle stools months before from a different store first...then liked them so much I wanted to get the table. I found that could get the table and bench through Amazon at the best price. These are very sturdy and perfect for a family game night. The wire brushed feel gives it some texture and looks great. Definitely worth it.It was easy to assemble and all the parts were there. If you follow the instructions it will go fast...if you don't you may have to swap a few parts around until you find the right positions the legs and braces go in. It comes with an hex wrench tool but i also used a hex bit in my screwdriver. I recommend using a cordless screwdriver with low speed and a low torque setting (so you don't over tighten)...but that will help it go together easier. Just save the final torque to do by hand.

I don't know much about furniture, but I know that named wood is substantially better quality than fiberboard. I bought this because the description clearly stated "Contemporary Pub Table made from exotic Acacia wood". Google confirmed that Acacia is typically good. After the table arrived and I had removed all the packaging I saw a sticker on the table: "Medium Density Fiberboard".The table itself seems fine so far (though I haven't even put it together yet). However, it's being sold based on a lie. If I could afford to wait a couple more weeks for a table and it wasn't such a hassle to return something this large it would be on its way back.

Good sturdy table for the price. Bought it for my college age son's apartment. He was really pleased and fits in a tight space.
