About this item

  • SUPER SOFT 100% CASHMERE WOOL: Borges & Scott are known for only using the finest materials. That is exactly what they have done here with this luxurious Cashmere snood (or neck gaiter or neck warmer if you prefer!). Rather than working with large Chinese (ie Inner Mongolian) Cashmere processors, B&S have worked with a small Nepalese wool mill and workshop to bring you the best Cashmere
  • WARM and SUSTAINABLE: The sustainable 100% Cashmere wool used in the St Anton snood (or neck warmer!) has been proven over centuries to withstand the worst conditions of the freezing highland pastures of the Cashmere goat. This hat will keep you warm and stylish whilst maintaining the natural breathable properties of wool whatever the winter brings.
  • GIFT PACKAGED: Arrives with B&S gift packing, making this snood (or neck gaiter) the perfect gift for anyone who loves sustainable slow fashion.
  • VERSATILE: The Snood is perfect for the winter cold – more versatile than a scarf, you can wear it around your neck, on your head or however you like to adapt to how chilly it is outside!

This snood (or neck warmer or neck gaiter if you prefer!), by renowned hat maker Borges & Scott, is the height of luxury! Cashmere is known for its excellent insulation properties and super soft feel. You can forget the “Cashmere” snoods and hats you’ve seen elsewhere that claim to be Cashmere, but actually only contain 5 or 10% Cashmere. The B&S range is the real deal, 100% pure Cashmere.

Normally known for their range of caps made from Scottish Harris and Irish tweeds and their soft Irish lambswool scarves, Borges & Scott have really gone the extra mile to make sure this snood is made from top quality Cashmere to make sure you stay toasty warm!

It is unusual, being made in Nepal, when most modern Cashmere is processed in large Chinese factories in the Inner Mongolia region of China. Borges & Scott have searched carefully to bring you this warm and soft snood that does not compromise on quality in any aspect.

Too high of a price tag for a mediocre product. Visually it looks nice, but it feels thin and cheap. It’s scratchy on the skin, and doesn’t feel like a high quality cashmere product. At this price point, you expect higher quality giftable packaging. The packaging left a lot to be desired, and the product has an awful smell upon opening. Which, for something meant to be right at your nose is just not it. You need to wash it to make it bearable, but of course the tag does not bother to include washing instructions. There is a card stock with a QR code in the box, but if you’re charging over $50 for an item and printing the card with the QR code anyway why not go ahead and print the care instructions on the card?Don’t waste your money, look elsewhere for a better value.

This grey snood is 100 percent cashmere so super soft and warm. It’s a nice grey colour that matches any type or clothing. The snood is not very thick but it’s warm and soft, it comes wrapped in paper in a smart presentation box.4 out of 5 stars purely based on price point at time of review.

I have to start my review by saying I only ever tried two cashmere products in my life, this one being the second one. I don't understand the hype! It's not soft. It's itchy. I had to take this off within 5 seconds as I couldn't stand the itchiness. The same happened when I tried another cashmere product (at the time I thought it was fake, but now I have to conclude I just don't like cashmere). So in conclusion, if you like cashmere by all means go for it, I know they are not cheap, so the price shouldn't be a surprise. It's definitely not for me though and as such I can't see how a £50 price tag can be justified for a piece of cloth.
