This part crossed references for my 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee WK2 with the single speed transfer case (full time AWD). Took some digging to find this part worked but in the end it was the correct part match. Saved me a lot of money replacing just this chain instead of the full transfer case. Very common Grand Cherokee and Mercedes ML failure point.

This chain is not suitable for Mercedes ML 500 {2006 model year} the photo shows that they are the same size, but one is new and the other is old stretched

Not an easy part to find as it list Mercedes which caused me to look past it several times. But this is the one that was the correct replacement for my 2012 Jeep GC.

Obviously not an original oem BW chain so description is incorrect and misleading. Performance of product may be just fine but only will know after installation. Could not wait for oem part but would have easily paid the $50 extra if it could have been shipped as fast as this part. Fingers crossed

This chain fits a 2012 ML350 perfectly and can be replaced without removing the transfer case from the vehicle.

Reading all the questions and reviews I was a bit nervous at what everyone said was a major task. It actually took longer to get the skid plates and guards out of the way than it did to change out the chain. I didn't even remove the transfer case. Simply took the rear facing half off while it remained mounted to the transmission. 4 hours start to finish including a trip to AutoZone to buy the star point sockets that were needed to remove the driveshaft and bolts. On 4 ramps, in my carport, by myself. If changing the oil is a difficulty of 1 and doing a valve job is a 10, I'd put this at about a 3. The chain fit perfectly and I received it within a couple of days.

My 2013 GL450 was making a violent clunking noise on hard acceleration. The motor mounts looked fine and the front CV shafts did not show any sign of rubbing. So I figured it was the transfer case chain. I was right. With all 4 tires on the ground and the air suspension raised, I split the transfer case apart under the vehicle and replaced the chain. Took me (a DIY mechanic) about 12 hours of work over the course of several days.

Chain was perfect replacement for the worn chain. However, it took 72 man hours to do the replacement. Very labor intensive project causing it to be a 6 - $7000 job if you have it done. New chain fixed the problem and everything is working fine now.
