The shoes have a very hard soul so it feels like you’re wearing wooden shoes. Also, the stitching is weird and it presses weirdly on the top of your foot. Also, the seller is horrible if you would like to ever return your product so I’d recommend trying to find these issues with a different seller.

Born shoes have always been so comfortable, but these are extra comfortable to be a boot, and I love the gray suede color leather! The size always fits, a 10 is a 10. You can’t go wrong with these shoes, handmade leather! Love them! Great price too!

I like the way they look with jeans. A bit hard to put in without undoing all the laces because the leather is so soft.

Got the rust brown color and I like the matte-suede look (vs. shiny). Can be worn with jeans or khakis, and they look great — not too formal, but also nice looking. They seem well made and have comfortable cushioning for walking. I wear size 10 in almost all shoes, but took review advice to go 1/2 smaller, and the 9.5 fits great with plenty of toe room. I can recommend these as a good pair of semi-casual or everyday boots.

I've always liked Born shoes/boots. First, I often must size up to fit both feet. Not so with Born. Some shoes are comfortable from the get-go. These were good but not particularly comfortable at first and I was a tad disappointed. However, it wasn't long before I wanted to wear them all the time. The materials and construction are first-rate. If there is any negative, I guess it is due to the sole being flat - walking at first didn't feel natural. I've gotten used to this, however.

This is my third pair of Born shoes in about 20 years. All three are size 10 and feel exactly alike. And the shape is right for me-a little narrow at the heel and a little wider at the ball/pad area-but only a little. And the overall feel is firm and comfortable but not rigid or stiff. And it seems like the uppers of all three are made of the same sort of leather. It is thicker than the leather in most shoes but very soft and pliable. Of course they don't look alike but have the similar general appearance that I think of as "European Walking/Comfort Shoe" I'm very pleased and highly recommend them. And I promise I'm not a Shill.My only complaint is that there is a loop on the tongue for the laces to be threaded through. This is in the wrong position and pulls the eyelets down uncomfortably against the top sides of the instep. It's a superfluous design flaw that I just don't use but I knocked off a star for because of it. But overall I'm highly pleased with these shoes and recommend them.

I really like these boots. Positive points - Born quality is excellent. Footbed is very comfortable. They look better with wear. Negative point - eyelets go all the way up to top. While this looks more polished, you have to loosen laces significantly down to third eyelet to get your foot in or out. It takes longer to get them on or off. I wonder if laces will get slicker with wear and problem may go away. I like everything else about the boots, so this problem is not significant enough for me to return them. May not be best choice for someone with a bad back or other trouble bending forward for longer than usual.
