I bought this triple-flute laminate cutting bit specifically to trim the top and back of a ukulele build. I was very concerned the thin 1/8" mahogany would tear out (it's not a laminate). I took my time and paid attention to the grain.The result was as good as I could have hoped. There were no tear-outs or chips and I have minimal sanding to do. (to ensure success, I also bought/used a BOSCH RA1181 Benchtop Router Table.) Very, very please with the result and I would recommend this bit.(I am a home woodworker with a small shop of primarily portable tools. The router I used was my old Craftsman that I bought new in 1980. I've been doing this while, but I think beginners could also use this bit to ensure success with their projects.)

The bearing on this bit failed right out of the box. It cut 3 feet of 7/16 osb and the bearing heated up so much it shot off the bit. Tried getting a replacement but I’ll just have to buy another

Bearing screw stripped during reassembly after first cleaning, Amazon replaced the whole thing. Cuts well, so long as you aren't trying to hog out too much material at once.

3 flutes cut better than two , if you keep the bearing well oiled between cuts they last a long time
