The BOSS Audio Systems CH6520 speakers were a great upgrade for my car’s sound system on a budget. For the price, the sound quality is impressive, with clear highs and decent bass. They fit perfectly and were easy to install. If you’re looking for affordable speakers that still deliver good sound, these are definitely worth considering. I’m really happy with the performance for what I paid!

An absolute bargain. I replaced my stock boring door speakers with a set of these and I was very please with the results. They sound very crisp and clear with excellent vocals, just what I wanted. I run these speakers direct from the head unit and plan to buy another pair for the rear doors.Changing your door speakers should be the first step you take to upgrading your system. Don't be fooled by buying more spensive speakers with the idea they'd sound better. forget about peak power and wattage, what you should focus on is the SLP, these are 92 db and among the best out there. In simple terms. if you get 100db you'd waste nothing as you would get what you put in. keep this in mind when choosing your speakers.Credit to Amazon and Boss for a great product and a very pleasant transaction experience.

OK the reason for the 5 vs 4 stars is you have to admit that you know what you are getting and for the price they are worth the money. In the past I would have not even looked at BOSS Audio stuff it was what they used to sell at the flea market and was cheaply made to be honest.HOWEVER I needed some new door speakers for my truck and I read ALOT of articles on speakers and for the price everyone said they could not beat these there were in the top 10 list on most reviews for a good low priced speaker that surprised the reviewers. So I took and a chance and got a pair and I have to say I have been really impressed with these little speakers you can hear the words in the lyrics in songs very clearly and have great highs and midrange. The bass end is not very endearing there is some but its more mid than deep, pair these with something like a powered under seat sub and I think you would have a very well rounded system that doesn't sound like you got a bag of tin cans in the trunk.I tried a cd with Sinatra to Die Antwoord with a little old school in there and they seemed to handle them all well. I would recommend turning down your treble some if your ride came with the extra factory tweeters like mine did or else it can be a little on the sharp side.Would I buy them again: YesWhat kind of music: all types even talk radio like NPR or Savage the clarity of the voices is sooo much better.Cons: Could use a little more on the lower end.Pros: price and build ~ compared to what they used to sell these are 100 times better than what they used to market.Note on the 2002 Silverado I got the snap in rings to mount these and the rings were too small on the inside diameter and pressed on the rubber surround, I was able to take the factory clips and re use them and they fit perfect with these speakers so save some money and don't get the rings.

Before I continue, I will say that if you can, just pay another $30 and get some better speakers, that can be installed easier. That said...They are just OK. I didn't expect anything amazing. They're $20. They work though. If the holes on the frame lined up easier with my installation (rear deck in a 1991 Honda Accord) I would have rated them higher. Instead, I had to do some drilling into the speaker frames, as well as getting creative with the install. They DO NOT line up with any of the stock screws, and they are also bigger than the stock speaker frames by about 1/4 inch, therefore they do not fit into the stock rear deck supports. However, I was able to rig them in. Bass is actually OK on these. Treble doesn't sound as awesome, but it's doable. There is absolutely no mid frequencies. If I listened to rap/hip-hop only, these would work well. I imagine if you're using a higher wattage output stereo, or an amp, they might sound a little better too. I still have my stock speakers in the front doors, and after using the fader, I can get it to sound OK. I'm still using the crap stock radio for now as well. For the price, the sound is definitely decent enough. As far as the fitment, I was a bit disappointed. All said and done, they're in, and it sounds way better than two 20+ year old blown speakers.[Edit 5/29/13] So I've had these installed for almost a couple months now. They're still going. I just upgraded my stereo, and the speakers definitely do sound a bit better now as there is more EQ adjustments allowed by the new stereo. It's higher wattage too, which made a nice difference. Bass really isn't horrible. Treble is still a bit on the harsh side frequency wise, but my stereo actually allows me to curb that a bit. Overall, for $20, still a good deal. If I was able to do it again, I would spend $50 on some better ones though. When I replace my front door speakers, I will definitely not use these after the trouble I had in the back dash, which is much larger a space to deal with. Hopefully this information helps any of you.

I always like a good pair of metallic injected speakers that won't rot in the hot sun. I've got a lot of Latino clients wanting to sell their car just across the boarder in the Mexico heat zone after they fix it up for cheap. Those paper speakers always rot out in a month after sitting in the hot sun for very long.I always recommend these high watt Boss metallic injected 2/3/4 way speakers for the doors and dash and a couple metallic coned woofers in the trunk as well for a quick sell. They look pretty, the sound for highs is clean, and the brand is read enough to sell easily. I put these in my own vehicles as well. You can't beat the price either, yes, to your surprise, this is a pair for that low low price. You won't find any deals like this at your local audio retailer either that's for sure. They only want your money, that's why they only sell the expensive names made out of cheap paper, to make you think you are getting a deal when in fact you'll be back to give them even more money as soon as those paper speakers bust or rot away in a year. Get metallic or get nothing at all.
