I like that the outer material is NYLON instead of the cheaper polyester. I believe it provides a higher degree of abrasion resistance. The padding is thick...1-inch (25mm) and the hook-n-loop neck rest strap protects against shifting or falling out if opening with the bag oriented vertically. The backpack style straps are padded and placed well for hands free carrying. The grab handle is made from a soft polymer material with a rubber-like underside for one-handed carry. Handle has pins at each end that slide in bag attachment anchor point slots so that the handle can lay flat against the bag when dormant and expands outward as one grabs the handle. The upper storage pocket has room for strings, small accessories, and tools such as those t;ypically used for string changes and minor adjustments. The lower storage pocket is where the bag falls short. The diagonal zipper seems like more of a styling element than a functional feature. While it has a large pocket area, the volume is quite small, since there isn't much room for the pocket to expand. As it is, you can slip an iPAD or tablet or thin laptop into it, but a book or paper stack thicker than 1-inch would be tricky to load into the pocket. This might be a good feature if you have a concern about a zippered pocket that opens on one or both sides spilling your tablet. I use this pocket for my iPAD, so it's not a negative for me. Others might prefer a gusseted pocket with a top closure flap to help maximize storage volume and improve organization with smaller interior pockets. This adds costs, of course, and you can find bags with large accessory pockets elsewhere, although they may not have the features that make this BOSS bag a great gig bag. I'm very happy with it!

Has neck brace to support lp style guitars with an angled headstock. Works just as well for any fender style guitar also. Firm and durable lots of pockets for storage. Well made! Great value for the money.

*update* - I returned this because the zipper was missing a tooth near the top of the case and it was hanging up at that spot. Other than that, there were no other flaws. However, I decided to shell out the extra money for another brand. I'm not going to brand bash Boss. For the money, this case is probably the best in it's class. This case will definitely protect your guitar. If you aren't a fan of bulky hard cases, this seems to be a good option.Pros:The case offers plenty of protection. It is pretty rigid, with plenty of padding, and will definitely hold up against normal drops and bumps.Holds multiple guitar shapes. The pad at the base of the case can be added or removed to fit longer or shorter shapes. Strat/Tele style guitars fit like a glove. The backpack straps tuck into the backside of the case and the rings for connecting the straps tuck into pockets when not in use. Some other manufacturers don't have this option, which leaves metal rings hanging on the outside of the case. These rings can get caught on things and leave scratches on whatever they rub on against. The top pocket offers some storage for necessities, like strings, capos, tuners, etc. The bottom pocket is thin but enough for some cables, a laptop, tablet, or some sheet music. The carry handle is extremely comfortable. I like it better than the handle on my Reunion Blues bass case. I also like how it sits flush against the case when not in use.Cons:The rubber bumpers on the bottom of the case won't do much for protection when the case is upright. The material on the base of the case still touches the ground and the material is not reinforced. Rubber reinforcement would have helped. The handle above the backpack straps feels flimsy and it's not very comfortable. I wouldn't trust it to last very long with any kind of consistent use.Overall, it's a great case for the money. As long as you don't abuse your equipment and throw and drag it all over the place, this case is a fantastic option for the money.

I've never had a soft guitar case before and I was a little apprehensive but this case is very well made. It isn't floppy as many others and it not only has neck support but has a velcro strap to keep the neck in place. I'm really impressed with how great this case is. I purchased it to fit my Yamaha Revstar Standard since the recommended case from Yamaha had no neck support and I'm glad I spent the extra money for this.

Five Stars for Strats and Tele’s. I received this bag today. It was hard to research the bag as so few outlets sell it so there are not many reviews. It is a great bag for a Strat or Tele type guitar. My Strat fits perfectly. This high quality bag has a very good rigid outside protection with A LOT of padding. The inside is extremely well cushioned and lined with super soft material. I like the extra protection for the bag with rugged material at the headstock and bridge areas to prevent damage from sharp string ends. I feel totally confident that my new Fender Ultra Strat will survive drops and bangs. I have had mono bags for other guitars and while not as feature rich; this bag has the best protection of any gig bag I have seen under $200.00.The not so good - It is not for Gibson (angled headstock) guitars. The neck support isn’t high enough to keep the headstock floating above the bottom. I tried a small folded towel to make the neck support higher for my Les Paul and ES339 but it raises everything too high and makes it hard to zipper shut. The stress will eventually cause a zipper failure from being stretched so much.Despite only working for one of my guitars; I’m keeping the bag because it fits like a glove, is super protective and is almost as good as a hard case.
