I've been a pediatric nurse for 17 years. NEVER prop bottles. I've seen babies in the icu who nearly died from aspirate pneumonia (basically drowning) because of products like this. it also increases ear infections and delays motor skill development. This basically forces the bottle into the baby's mouth like a gag. If they can't hold the bottle themselves you have to hold it for them.

As a parent I regained so much mobility and freedom by liberating one of my hands and replacing it with this product. You can gauge the baby’s feeding by tilting his head so still have control over feeding.

Maybe for a new born baby under a month old. The bottle holder is very uncomfortable almost shoving the bottle in there face with no wiggle room. I bought this originally for my 3 month old twins and it was not a good fit for us. I also feel that the neck piece is too small and not very functional to comfortably strap around infants neck.

I purchased this for my newborn. It wasn’t until I learned about prop feeding that I realized this is a major tragedy waiting to happen. Babies have chocked and died from this. An infant doesn’t need a “self feeding” bottle.
