The kit works, mostly. Everything went together well. Unfortunately the rollpin used to retain the C shaped retaining clip was much too large in diameter for my application. As an alternative I broke the chuck end off of a 1/64" drill bit and pressed it in to the housing.

The larger ring that goes in first was too large, its off by some millimeters and wouldn't fit. Had to reuse the original one. The ring that goes in second (the piece that usually breaks) was good. The spring is a bit thinner than the original and has less pressure. Tried to use the spring included but found that I was getting some slippage while turning the key and decided to use the original spring which eliminated the slipping issue. Stem was good. The C ring was good. The retaining pin was too large so I tried to squash it with some pliers but couldn't get the end small enough and after squashing it down some more it split down the middle. Ended up using a small finishing nail as a retaining pin.Only used the second ring (the part that breaks), the stem and C ring. For $7 it's probably still worth it just to get your hands on the second ring which fixes the problem, unless your can find it cheaper. All other parts can be reused

The kit had what I needed to fix my door lock.I initially used all the parts provided. After reinstalling the lock in the car it still was not working.I found that the post that extends from the lock and goes into the lock actuator was about 5mm shorter than the original one. after reinstalling the original post on my lock it is now working correctly.

The round shape part can't fit back in cylinder little square and tooth are big and it is not fit. Straight arrow part is to long for 1/32 of inc and it can work but your lock will not fit proper way it is not flash fit staying little out even when you over tight bolt for lock.My car is 2004 BMW X5 3.0L just to knowmaybe fits latter model

There is a video on YouTube giving you step by step instructions to rebuild your lock. Came with everything to repair my lock, be sure to grease, or clean and use graphite to prevent from happening again. GREAT PRODUCT!
