Bought this for a 2009 minicooper s , 10/10 would not recommend. This valve cover made my car miss fire on all cylinders. Dumped pure oil in my catch can. Car smokes and barley runs replaced valve cover from rock auto runs amazing now.

Needed to replace the valve cover on my mini because it was leaking and may have had a PCV issue too, so I got this because it was much cheaper than some of the alternatives. My car started to spew tar out the tailpipe and my friend who was driving behind me said that there was smoke coming out the pipe that smelled awful. I didn't think it was because of this cover since it was brand new. It wasn't running great with the old cover either. Eventually had to take it to the shop because the transmission was overheating since it would get stuck at 4k rpm on the highway. Found that the valve on the right side was stuck open and there was an audible hissing noise that stopped when I took a screwdriver and pushed the valve closed. Replaced this cover with one that was $180 and noticed that the valves on the expensive one rattled when I shook it. This one does not rattle. I don't think the two pcv valves on this work properly. My car stopped running rough or spewing smoke after getting a better cover than this.If they could make the two valves actually work properly this product would be great. These covers are $500 from mini. I'm rooting for them to fix the valves on these, but as they are it's irresponsible to sell these.
