These fit like a glove and kept my child very warm for several hours outside in freezing weather with wind (with coats and blankets, also). Easy to layer imunder other loose or semi-fitted clothing. Fairly soft and my child thought they were comfortable.

A lot of cotton products these days come "pre-shrunk" but not these long johns. Buy them one or two sizes too big. They'll shrink in the wash. I bought size 10 for my grandson who wears a size 10. He wore them fine until they were washed. Now the 8 year old wears them, but they are almost small enough for the 7 year old. Otherwise, the long johns are lovely. Good colors that didn't bleed, warm, cozy, comfortable.
