Doesn’t fit in the hole and then once you “tap” it in it is not longer round

As others have said, the shaft is too big. I used a grinding stone to turn it down to the correct size with no issues though. It seems to be of otherwise good quality. In this case, size matters.

This is a good replacement for the plastic one BMW uses. My car had 67k on it and the plastic was very worn. I expect this to last a very long time. The only issue I had was this fits tight. I put mine in the freezer for about an hour and then installed it. Aside from that it works well.

It was a VERY tight fit. It needed quite some persuasion and slight sanding to be properly seated. But the part is good quality and well made.

Use a little WD. i already had installed the plastic one .. and had 2nd thoughts. You can pop the plastic one out with a socket ,an extension, and a hammer
