The Brennan 2408 series MJ cap fitting is made of steel and has a JIC male connector. This cap fitting covers the outside of a pipe or fitting to close and terminate its end. It has a Joint Industrial Council (JIC) flared male connector for connecting to a female JIC pipe. It is made of steel for its better weldability and increased rust resistance over iron. The operating temperatures for this fitting range from -63 to 400 degrees F. It meets Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE) standard J514 for quality assurance.

Push-to-connect compression fittings do not require tools or sealants, and are useful in installations where a heat source, such as a soldering torch, is prohibited. Granted, I don't have any issues with the item itself, but all the pictures show the package of 12 plugs however it is only 1 plug so I think it's a little misleading. Seeing as there was nothing in any other descriptive text on the page indicating it was an individual piece I had only ordered 1 thinking I would get more than what I needed. However, upon receiving the package it was an individual plug, which only mattered because I needed more & would've ordered more when initially placing the order had I known.P.S. I am not dumb or miserly, so I know that price for 12 of them was outrageously cheap. However, I was just going to be using them for a brief period while waiting on some parts in order to keep rain out of the lines so if they were extremely poor quality it was fine. And, mostly because I didn't know how many might be included I took a shot & just ordered 1.

All the pictures show a package of 12 of these. The description does NOT say its only a quantity of 1 (it also doesn't say it's a package). That said, I did get one of the parts I ordered.
