Perfect replacement for my old one after 12 years two screws inside and two screws outside and I have a new inexpensive door bell

I replaced the old door bell switch with this new one. It appears to be fine and works as described.It just seemed a little pricey for what there was and it only came with one of the 2 required screws.

Al menos en mi experiencia personal este timbre tuvo que ser modificado para su correcto funcionamiento. Primero, la construcción es totalmente de plástico (excepto los contactos metálicos internos obviamente) y tiene un foco incandecente interno para iluminar el botón. En el cao del foco, yo tuve que removerlo por 2 razones; la primera porque al momento de conectar los cables del timbre, que en mi caso es un "normalmente abierto", el foco cierra el circuito y el timbre suena aún y cuando no se presione el botón, lo cual obviamente no es correcto y segundo, porque el ser un foco incandecente, que estaría todo el tiempo encendido y generando calor, terminará por quemar y/o derretir los plasticos del botón. Retirado el foco, el botón funcionó correctamente, pero no me agradó tener que realizar modificaciones,

Bought a Ring Doorbell that just wouldn’t work for me, after exchanging several times. Finally gave up and ended off going old school (my original doorbell was ancient!) and replaced the Ring bell with the Nutone. Super easy to install and the price was right. Works like a charm.

Old doorbell got brittle and broke after years in the hot sun. Never installed a doorbell before and wasn't sure what was involved. Turned out it's a very easy job. Very low voltage so I didn't need to turn any fuses off or anything like that. Just had to connect two wires to the new doorbell, screw it into the preexisting holes from the old doorbell (with a dab of caulk in the holes to help anchor it) and that was it. The model I bought lights up, which is different than my old doorbell, which is nice.

My new home can with one of these which works fine for about 5 years before it discolored due to the elements (-10 winters and 100+ summers with direct exposure) so I decided to replace it with a new one. For the price these things are basically disposable if anything happens to them. The light inside is an incandescent but could be switched out with an LED if you have a basic understanding of soldering. For the price, you really cant go wrong.

Installed very easily, and looks clean. Presses much cleaner than my 19 year old, crusted button that neighbor kids couldn't figure out how to press, as they waited fruitlessly for us to answer the door. It has a positive, clean click, and the light turns off as it triggers, so it's very obvious to the guest when it rings.But this is 2017. Couldn't you at least have replaced the light with an LED instead of filament? And given the white body, a full-white instead of soft-white would have been better. However, at the price point, I can't complain. It works as it's supposed to.

Works great. Very strong and easy to install. It's worth paying the little extra for this one to get the quality. Survived last winter (one of the snowiest in the NE) without issue. Light is bright and you can easily locate the button in the dark.
