I purchased this to connect a LAN only device to our network which was located in an area that would have been very difficult to run a network cable to, but there was a strong wifi signal in the area. This device not only extends a wireless network to LAN, but also extends or boosts your wireless signal. I did not need to extend the wirless signal so I turned that part off. It worked seamlessly to bridge the wireless network to LAN for my device that was LAN only. There is a web browser interface that you can access as soon as you plug a laptop into the LAN port. If you've configured a home router before, than this will be strait forward for you to set up.

As a network contractor I often running across non-WiFi devices -- receipt printers, TVs with broken WiFi adapters, etc. This device solves the problem. Installation is easy and Ethernet connection is stable. What the description doesn't make clear is that this unit is also a WiFi extender and transmits its own WiFi signal. (I suspect it was originally a WiFi extender that added an Ethernet port.) Great, huh? Well, it could be but if you don't want that capability, there's no way to disable it. You're just stuck with one more SSID floating out there. Not a huge problem but minus one star for lack of flexibility, especially in a commercial environment.

Purchased for the advertised functionality, to connect wired device to WiFi. The packaging also notes that you can use it as a range extender. Turns out there is no choice. Setup required either setting up as a range extender or AP. This functionality could not be disabled, and I don't want to be broadcasting extra SSIDs. This is not only completely unnecessary for my case, but would likely cause problems since I am connecting to a campus wireless system. There is no option to disable the extender function, you have to set it up in order to use the device and you cannot stop it from broadcasting. More importantly, the wired connectivity function didn't even work, so the one thing I needed this device for was non-functional. I did not test the extended SSIDs to see whether they worked, as I really do not care. The Chinese posing as English brand name already had me thinking this was going to be bad, and that instinct was correct. As usual, instead of doing the one thing I asked for, this does 3-4 things badly. Thanks for nothing, BrosTrend.

This product is amazing! It took only 5 minutes to set up and works flawlessly with my internal network. I have legacy instrumentation running on XP operating systems, which don’t recognize USB Wi-Fi adapters but work fine with Ethernet cables. To avoid running cables from my server to these XP computers, I decided to try the BrosTrend device—and it exceeded my expectations. After setting it up with my internal wireless network, I simply plugged it into an XP computer using an Ethernet cable, and it connected automatically. I chose the 2.4 GHz band instead of 5 GHz since I wasn’t sure if XP would recognize the latter. The 2.4 GHz connection works perfectly, providing fast and reliable data transfer for files and images from my instrumentation. This product is a game-changer for my setup, and I’ll definitely be purchasing more for my other legacy instruments. Highly recommended!

Our wireless adapter was causing too many intermittent errors for our church's livestream. Our audio video consultant recommended this product. It works great. Just hoping it's reliable for the long term.

I have a Bluesound audio set up which is more stable with a wired internet connection but that was hard to achieve. I bought this device to provide a wired connection and it works perfectly. Set up couldn’t be easier. I plugged it in near my router, paired it with the press of two buttons, moved it to where it was needed and it connected straight away. Perfect!

This is a solid and cheap little WiFi extender and 'ethernet to WiFi' adapter. Both WPS and WiFi GUI setup make this simple to get going. However, I looked at this as a way to boost the speed of my Xbox Series X WiFi, as the built-in adapter doesn't support gigabit WiFi. There is no way to disable the 'bridge' mode on this device, so it always acts as an extender even if you only need an ethernet to WiFi adapter. This slows the bandwidth significantly to about 100mbps in my testing. My Xbox on its own can get 200mbps with the built-in WiFi.Just a note for people who may be trying to use this device for the same purpose. I have nothing bad to say about it and will keep the device on hand for other projects. Older devices that only have ethernet will almost all benefit from a 100mbps connection to the internet.

I love this product, you don't need any cabling or long Lan cables. I 7se this on my router and security camera system. Al my cameras is HD and the speed of this unit is fast and works well with my starlink satellite installing. You can use the wireless unit wit any equipment that works on a Lan connection. No drilling holes or installation of Lan cable in the roof or anything, 5 seconds to install and you ready to go. Another plus is that you can use it as a wifi repeater in the house if you signal is weak or you need a stronger signal somewhere ells in the yard, plug and play.

I'm still running an HP LJ 4050 from the late 1990s. It's a tank and I have enough toner cartridges to last the rest of my life. I am confident the printer will, as well. Unfortunately, it has no wireless capability. This was okay until I moved to a small apartment where I had to drag an ethernet cable across the floor every time I wanted to print. This device has solved that. The one slight negative is that the documentation doesn't make it exactly crystal clear just which mode is the WiFi extender and which is wireless-to-ethernet only. I'd also like to see an interface to shut down the WiFi extension part. I don't need it and it just clutters the airwaves and wastes energy to have it on.The other note I want to make is about the IP management. Because of the way the docs were written I was afraid that my fixed IP on the printer wouldn't work for some reason, that the device would try to NAT it or something weird if I didn't do a DHCP IP (which wouldn't work for me for reasons I won't get into). But those fears were unfounded: the printer printed a test page first time with its fixed IP. No problem.Good product. Make the features more controllable and the setup cleaner and clearer and it will be perfect.

Bought this so I didn’t have to run a Ethernet cable across my room to my CCTV dvr from my router…I just plugged this into a socked beside my dvr and connect a small Ethernet from dvr to this. Job done !!Excellent signal, easy to connect to WiFi via wps button.
