I was seriously impressed with these trees. They arrived on time and beautifully packaged with instructions on the outside and inside of the box. I seriously didn't need anything extra to get this set up. These were Christmas presents (I ordered 2) and they stayed green for the extra week it spent in the box even though it comes as a live plant. 3 months later and it is still growing and beautiful!

This is a Christmas present for my husband. I received it very quickly and immediately took it out and started preparing everything in the pot. Everything was packaged nice and tight, nothing was damp or leaking. I was very impressed with how good the bonsai looked! Very healthy! The box included pruning shears, bag of soil, and info packet. I put these in a gift bag and put it under our Christmas tree. The bonsai will be hiding at the neighbors until Christmas morning. 😉 Update (August 2021): It's been 8 months now and my husband loves his bonsai! We just bought a bigger pot for it and will be transferring it in the next couple of days. Still 5 stars and still a great purchase!

My plant is a little bit too small for the pot it came with. The plant and contents were packaged very professionally. The plant was freshly watered and was fertilized. I wish it came with a little bit more wire so the mesh could be secured down separately. I also wish that the wire was a little thinner. It was difficult to manipulate and almost too rigid to use to tie such a fragile tree down with. Hopefully I didn't kill the tree... I bought lava rock and akadama to use for soil instead of what was included. Make sure to get the air pockets out! Overall, I'm very happy with this kit. I just went ahead and bought another tree. Thank you Brussels Bonsai :)

Place a very small amount of included soil mix on bottom and place plant as desired, securing plant inside tray with included heavy wire, then fill the surrounding space with more soil.Water well and mist it daily with water during growing season.I ordered special bonzai fertilizer as well as training wire and growing guide separate.Although I'm quite pleased with quick delivery and a very lovely tree, I'm giving it only 4 stars because the ceramic planter is too small. I just ordered a larger one, 12" as well as a humidity tray to fit and more gravel.If it wasn't for that I'd give it 5 stars.I've always been fascinated with these beautiful miniature trees and always wanted to try growing and training one. So I went for it. I had hoped getting a starter kit would be more economical and give at least a year of growth before repotting. If not for such a small sized dish this would have been perfect.
